LONGEVITY TIPS

• Never allow the engine of a catalytic converter-equipped vehicle to run for more than 30 seconds with a disconnected spark plug wire. The unburned fuel in the exhaust gas will ignite in the catalytic converter due to extreme heat. The converter will be damaged.
• Never use leaded gasoline on an engine equipped with a catalytic converter. The active elements in the converter will be fouled with lead and not perform their function anymore. Use only unleaded gasoline in cars equipped with a catalytic converter.
